Wed, 5 November 2008 Changes are afoot with episode 101-on. Details will be revealed in #100, but one of the changes is that I would like to have others have their voices heard concerning older comics. I've had some interest already, and I'm looking forward to what will result. So, anyone interested in doing a regular or irregular segment for the CBA, feel free to email me at comicbookattic (at) yahoo.com Also, hellos and other recorded bits for episode 100 are welcome! Deadline is Nov.30. Category: blog -- posted at: 2:37 PM Comments[0] |

Fri, 31 October 2008 The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe vol.2 (Deluxe Edition) #16 was the 3rd issue of this series I bought when I was young. I was and still am obsessed with character handbooks thanks to these Marvel Handbooks. This issue began a five issue spotlight on the "dead" Marvel characters. At the time, I thought it was the coolest thing to read about these characters' histories and how they died-- especially since I hadn't heard of many of them. I waited quite impatiently for each new issue of the "dead" to come out. So, in the spirit of Halloween, I present this as one of my old favorites. It's still fun to go through these five issues and see how many of the characters have remained "dead," and how many have returned from the grave... Fri, 24 October 2008 H'lo everyone. I just wanted to blog this as well as mention it in the next episode. Episode 100 is approaching, and I would like it to include as many different voices as possible. If anyone would like to submit a hello, an old comic review, or anything at all, email me an mp3 at my yahoo address comicbookattic. The due date was going to be the end of October, but, whoops, that's almost here. Let's say all submissions be in by the end of November. For that matter, anyone who'd like to be a regular contributor can let me know also. -Mike Category: blog -- posted at: 2:48 PM Comments[4] |

Sat, 12 April 2008 I'm in a new comics mood. I blame Secret Invasion, which has me reading a bunch more Marvels than I would normally read. Secret Invasion has me hooked, mainly because I'm a sucker for a mystery, and this storyline has mysteries wrapped around other mysteries. I really want to see how far back the little green ripplechins have infiltrated the Marvel Universe and influenced Marvel Universe events (like Civil War). 19. Tue, 4 March 2008 Hi, all. Yes, I know there hasn't been a show in couple weeks. March is looking like the busiest month ever for work, and this is also the time when I have to work out the bigger details for my unfortunate divorce. Not a happy-go-lucky time, so please be patient. As always, feel free to sample the past episodes if you haven't already. Episode 85 has been recorded. It'll be out soon, hopefully. I hope to have 86 done also, so that you can get a double helping. Also, hopefully, I should have the internet back in my home this week or next. That'll make the world turn twenty times easier. Fri, 18 January 2008 Hi all. Episode 82 will be out tomorrow. Til then, here're some reads: I've been trying to get back into reading some Marvels again. Some listeners have made some good suggestions. I'm still hopeful that the registration act will go away. (Recent events in Spidey's book have made me want to stop all over again. I don't want to read about a marriage disappearing. I've had enough of that in real life.) I've tried to look at Marvel's books as the fictional stories they are, with the viewpoint that the Initiative/ registration act story is far from over. ...And this is so very true with Skrulls running around the MU.
